For my half birthday, I wanted to follow up and see where I’m at with my 30 before 30 list so far.
- Travel somewhere I’ve never been. Yup! We took our honeymoon in June and I can check 4 more states off! We visited Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.
- Close on our first house. Check! We closed at the end of April and it really is a dream come true.
- Furnish our house. We’re almost there. Considering we came from a furnished apartment and were starting with nothing I’m pretty impressed with where we’re at.
- And decorate the house. Another work in progress. Definitely need to finish building some furniture first then we can really focus on decor.
- Host Thanksgiving. That’s the plan!
- Get a keratin treatment. Done! Definitely helped tame some frizz this summer.
- Volunteer. Unfortunately not yet – need to get more involved and make this a focus.
- Run (Walk?) a 5k. We just started ‘training’ (walking) to do a 5k hopefully soon.
- Learn something new (take a class). I’ve been slowly teaching myself how to use photoshop
- 30 days of no soda. Check! 30 days and still counting
- 30 days of no alcohol.
- 30 days of no shopping.
- 30 days of eating at home and packing lunches for work.
- Start blogging consistently. Hello #blogtober (If you haven’t caught on, I’m attempting to blog daily for the month of October)
- Try a new workout class.
- Clean out my closet.
- Try 10 new recipes.
- Find my ‘signature dish’
- Visit Lion Country Safari and feed the giraffes.
- Change my name on everything. I’d like to think this is done but I’m sure something else I don’t realize exists will come up.
- Find systems to organize my life.
- Print & frame wedding pictures and pick out our wedding album.
- Schedule car, dentist, and doctor appointments like a real adult. I have caught up on all the doctors appointments. Now just to get an oil change….
- Celebrate our one year anniversary. How is it already our anniversary month??
- Workout consistently. ha
- Share more on instagram stories and become more comfortable on video.
- Girls getaway weekend.
- Date night atleast once a month. Doin’ it!
- Squeeze in as much family time as possible.
- Find my real passions.
Definitely have some work to do over the next 6 months before the big 3-0. But its also fun to look back and see how many of my goals I’ve actually accomplished over the last 6 months!
Come visit and we can check that new workout class off!! Maybe we can get jeff to go to barre or yoga and then make fun of him
Sounds like the perfect reason to go to DC! Can you invite your bff Malia too?
