Yellowstone National Park has some of the most beautiful spots in the world! And while it is so hard to truly show the beauty in pictures, there are a few spots that you have to capture for the ‘gram.
1. Grand Prismatic
I mean… those colors!
2. Fairy Falls
A very short hike at Fairy Falls will bring you to the best overlook of the Grand Prismatic. And some of the photo ops in all of Yellowstone.
3. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone – Lower Loop
I could’ve stared at this view all day! It doesn’t look real – and that perfectly timed rainbow doesn’t hurt!
4. Mammoth Hot Springs
5. Anywhere you spot wildlife.
There are a few areas in the park that are known for wildlife spotting. Driving through the Lamar Valley is a popular area – we saw a ton of bison, antelope, and osprey. This is also supposed to be the best place to see moose (even if we couldn’t find any). Also, we saw a bunch of female elk by Mammoth Hot Springs. And our best bison sightings were near the west entrance.
But you really never know if/when you’ll stumble upon some wild animals. Just keep in mind you need to stay 25 yards away from all animals and 100+ yards away from bears and wolves. Having a zoom lens for your camera will definitely help – we used this one to capture that bison picture above!
