If you plan on visiting Jupiter, Florida or if you’re new to town, I’m going to share a few can’t miss spots to visit.
1. Climb the Jupiter Lighthouse
You can’t visit Jupiter and not visit (and climb!) the Jupiter Lighthouse. Take a tour and climb the 105 steps to the top for the best views in Jupiter. The lighthouse sits right next to the Jupiter Inlet. So from the top you can see the ocean, the intracoastal, some fancy houses on Jupiter Island and pretty much all of the beautiful Town of Jupiter.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for kids (ages 6-18). Children 5 and under are free but have to be at least 48 inches to climb.
Visit their website for more information here.
Fun fact – Jon and I got engaged right after we climbed the lighthouse. It was July so we were nice and sweaty in our engagement pictures.
2. See the sunrise at the Juno Beach Pier
People think Jupiter is a sleepy town but this one is worth waking up early for.
Grab a cup of coffee and head over to the beach. There is a parking lot right next to the pier and even though the serious fisherman get there early, there is always plenty of parking before the sun rises.
We did this a few times before Aaron was sleep trained and we decided to make the most of our early mornings.
3. Watch live music at Square Grouper
I don’t know a single Jupiter local who doesn’t love Square Grouper. It’s a laid back tiki bar right on the inlet with a perfect view of the lighthouse. Order a beer and some nachos (our favorite) and enjoy some live music.
I’m not a big fan of The Bachelorette but even I know Tyler visited Square Grouper during his hometown visit episode.
Note – you must be 21+ to enjoy.
4. Visit the turtles at Loggerhead Marine Life Center
Loggerhead has always been one of our favorite places to take friends and family when they come to visit Jupiter. Loggerhead is a local nonprofit focusing on sea turtle conservation and rehabilitation. When you visit, you can see the turtles under their care. Volunteers will share their stories with you. And their goal is to rehabilitate the turtles to be able to release them back out into the ocean. Watching a turtle being released back into the ocean is still on my Jupiter bucket list.
(Loggerhead is currently under construction. They are still open but I would recommend waiting til the construction is complete to visit).
5. Hike or Kayak in Riverbend Park
Riverbend Park is on the west part of Jupiter, passed the turnpike. It is such a beautiful way to spend time outside. Most of the trails are nicely shaded. And the trails are stroller friendly!
