Some of the most important things to remember while deciding what to wear to The Honda Classic is that you will be in South Florida, and more specifically in Palm Beach County. That means 2 things – it will be hot and people are preppy. The tournament is only about 15 miles away from Palm Beach, aka the home of the Lilly Pulizter (the queen of prep).
You should expect to see a pretty broad range of outfits, so you really can’t go wrong. I personally like to be comfortable and put together. I’ll usually wear shorts (or skorts) and a cotton top. And sandals with a strap that I can walk around in all day. The Sam Edelman Gigi‘s are my favorites! And keep in mind you’ll be in the sun all day. So don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, etc.
Also, learn from my mistakes – check the acceptable bag size requirements. The first time I went a couple years ago I had to go back to my car and leave my purse because it was too big. According to the website you can bring:
Bags (opaque) not exceeding 6″x 6″x 6″ in their natural state
Clear tote bags, plastic, vinyl, or other carry items not exceeding 12″x 6″x 12″
A one (1) gallon clear re-sealable plastic bag may be permitted.
and you can read the rest of the spectator policies here.
