On my recent trip to Philadelphia, we ventured a little bit away and visited Terrain. Its about a 45 minute drive from Philadelphia but completely worth the drive – if you have a car and the time!
Visiting Terrain was a great rainy day back up plan. We originally planned on visiting Longwood Gardens, but at Terrain you feel like you’re at the gardens inside.
We started with lunch – and everything was delicious! They serve bread baked in a flower pot. And I tried the rose flavored spritz, what they call their homemade sodas. We shared the the cheese board, truffle fries, and a harvest bowl.
Fireside Smores
The fireside smores were by far my favorite part! When I saw this on the menu, I knew we had to have them! I mean who doesn’t love smores? You order them off their dessert menu and once you’re finished, they get the fire pit, ingredients and roasting sticks ready for you outside.
It was a little too windy and we ended up with some smoke in our eyes (maybe I’ll share those pictures one day). But it felt nice to warm up by the fire.
The Store
If I wasn’t traveling with just a very full carryon, I probably would’ve bought everything in the store. The faux floral displays were unreal! So colorful and real looking. This displays would look so pretty at a wedding.
