Wynwood is an Instagram dream come true. Around every corner is another colorful wall, door, art gallery, etc. And the short answer for ‘what should I wear to Wynwood?’ is ANYTHING. This is Miami – literally anything goes.
But, I’ll share my tips on what to wear to get the best photos, and to make the most of your day there.
Wear White.
The murals and walls in Wynwood are always changing. Which is why I’m always happy to go, no matter how many times I’ve already been. But, there will always be beautiful, colorful walls to capture.
And the only way to ensure you won’t clash with any of the walls is to wear all white.
Pick a wall and coordinate / match it.
Another option is to scroll through the Wynwood geotag on instagram, find your favorite wall, and pick your outfit around it. You can either match it or pick out a look that will coordinate. So for example – I would wear pink to stand in front of a palm print wall, like the one pictured below.
Wear comfortable shoes.
My favorite thing to do in Wynwood is explore. Most people start at the Wynwood Walls. (Before I went, I thought Wynwood Walls was just what all of the murals as a whole were called. But, the Wynwood walls is actually an enclosed area, where its basically just murals and a few galleries).
Then just walk in any direction and just wander. Some of the best things to see are off the beaten path. Expect to walk a lot. And wear comfortable shoes. I wore my favorite Castner wedges because I know I can wear them comfortably all day long. My cousin happily wore sneakers and I know Floridians are generally happier in sandals. Just keep comfort in mind when deciding what to wear to Wynwood.

And while you’re there, stop at Zak the Baker for yummy pastries and sourdough bread sandwiches. We’ve been wanting to try it for forever, and everything lived up to the hype.
