I feel like May went by so fast! I think its fun to take a second to reflect on the past month. And share some things that have happened in my life that might not have made it onto the blog. The last time I did a post like this was in January, but I’m going to try to make this a monthly thing.
SunFest
SunFest is always the best way to start the month of May. You can read my full recap here!
We ran (walked) a 5k!
Our local Jewish Federation had an Israel Independence Day 5k. We signed up and kinda sorta prepared by walking at least a mile every day with little spurts of runs.
This race was rough for me friends. I’m definitely not in 5k running shape. We got rained on. But we finished. AND we both got trophies for being in the top 3 in our age group. 1st place out of 1 isn’t too bad hahaha
Palm Beach Bloggers Monthly Meet Up
My friend Lara and I went to this months blogger meet up at PGA National. We got there early to shoot some outfit pictures and get some coffee at this gorgeous resort. This month’s focus was Pinterest and how to use it to bring traffic to your blog. We were then treated to mimosas and chocolate covered strawberries (my fav!) on the patio overlooking the pool.
Mother’s Day
My mom hosted a Mother’s Day brunch at my parents’ house. My contribution was my fruit rainbow. I live for some good quality family time. (QT is definitely my love language). Especially when it means celebrating my twin – I mean mom.
Memorial Day Weekend
We had been busy literally every weekend so we decided to take advantage of the long weekend to G.S.D. (get sh*t done). Jon and his dad put together our new grill (a belated wedding gift from my grandparents). I finally finished building and painting our #ikeahack Rast drawers for our night tables. I painted them navy blue and switched out the drawer pulls for these gold ones.
We also cleaned out our garage! I regret not taking before and after pictures but it really is SO much better. We got rid of things and organized others. Some things never got unpacked from when we moved in a year ago. I also ordered another one of these shelves for storage / organization.
