I keep looking back at the pictures we took when he turned one month and two months. I can not believe just how much he grows and changes each month. I take a ton of pictures everyday but having these little monthly photo shoots really help us see the differences and growth.
We see his little personality get stronger every single day! He has the best and biggest smile. And he always seems to laugh right at the perfect moment. Sometimes it really seems like he understands what we’re saying and gets our jokes.
We took Aaron swimming for the first time – he was pretty indifferent. He spent most of the time trying to eat my shoulder. He didn’t cry and he looked so stinking cute in swimsuit so we’ll call it a success. He also started to love bath time. He gets so excited to kick his legs and splash in his little bathtub.
This month he started rolling onto his side and has much better head control. He loves to kick his legs in the air. And he found his hands this month. He is always trying to fit his hands into his mouth.
As places slowly started opening back up this month and life kinda started to get back to normal, we’ve started to venture out a little. Aaron played mini golf for the first time (while sleeping in the baby carrier with his dad). He also went to his first restaurant and was such a well behaved little guy.
We switched him to the Love To Dream zipper swaddle. And now that he doesn’t spend the whole night trying to escape (like he did in the velcro swaddle), we’re all getting a little more sleep these days. He’s even had a few sleeps through the night. I’ve never been so happy to wake up at 6:30am.
Aaron and I celebrated our first Mother’s Day together. It was the first time we got together with some family after a month apart. And he got to meet his great grandma for the first time. It was such a special day and I felt so very loved by my family ❤️
