Palm Beach County Schools are officially out for summer! Local parents (and visitors) are looking for fun ways to keep their kids busy for the next few months. I put together a list of things for families to do in Palm Beach this summer. And I’d love to hear your ideas too – leave them in the comments if there’s anything I missed.
Visit the beach!
Palm Beach County has 47 miles of beaches and there is something for everyone. You can dine at the restaurants in Delray Beach by Atlantic Ave or go fishing off the Juno Beach Pier.
- Collect shells and save them for a craft project on a rainy day
- Beach cleanup
- Play I-Spy at the beach
- Pub sub picnic

Indoor Activities
Let’s be real – during the summer it is HOT and (very often) RAINY. When you live in sunny south Florida, indoor activities seem to be harder to find. And even though it rains most afternoons, there are still lots of fun places to take the kids when you need to get out of the house.
- Mandel Library in West Palm summer reading program – register online and log books your kids read (or you read to them) and receive up to 9 free books.
- movies (check with your local theater if they have any summer or daytime deals)
- South Florida Science Center is mostly indoors
- Mall at Wellington Green and Boca Town Center both have a small indoor play areas for little ones
- We Rock the Spectrum in Jupiter & Boca

- Build A Bear at The Gardens Mall & Wellington Green
