If you are visiting the Nashville / Franklin, TN area, you NEED to add Arrington Vineyards to your itinerary. I so with there was something like this closer to home for me.
Here are 4 things to know before visiting Arrington Vineyards
1. They are kid friendly
Obviously you have to be 21+ to drink the wine but this a such a fun spot to bring the whole family. There’s a lot of open space and live music. We visited with our one year old and he was happy to hangout (with a yogurt pouch…or 2). When you’re looking for a place to have some adult beverages but need to bring the little ones along this is a perfect option. Especially when you compare it to the Honky Tonks in Nashville (where the music is too loud to even walk inside with little kids).
It is probably important to mention, dogs and pets are not allowed.
2. You can bring your own picnic to Arrington Vineyards
Arrington does sell some cheeses and other charcuterie / picnic type foods that pair well with wine. But you can bring your own picnic to eat there. My sister in law packed up a couple coolers of food for us to enjoy with our wine. We had pasta salad, cheese and crackers, etc. She also had these really awesome sporks (shop similar here).
3. You should try a wine flight
Being able to try a few different wines was the perfect way to go for us. We each tried a different wine flight. I generally prefer sweet wines (and all the sweet things in general) so I went with the sweet wine flight. The other wine flight options at Arrington Vineyards are white, red, and mixed. Its fun to taste a few different wines to compare or pick a favorite. This way you’re not buying a bottle of something you might not like.
Tip #3.5 – try the frosè !
4. The picnic tables are first come first serve
We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of open tables. We sat a little off to the side where it was quieter. But you can always bring a blanket and picnic on the ground. There is plenty of open space. And if you want to get closer to the live music, you’re better off claiming a space on the lawn.
