Teeth
We are now up to 5 teeth in his adorable crooked smile. He has his two bottom middle teeth and the one to the left. And on the top he has the left front tooth and the one just to the left of it. So most of his teeth are on the left side of his mouth. The two teeth on the top right are popping through so it should even out soon.
Sleep Training
Aaron has mostly been a good sleeper since he started sleeping in his own room. He had his regressions that would usually last about a week but then he would go right back to sleeping through the night. So we didn’t mind the nights he would wake up because it was temporary. But then this regression and 3-5am hour long wake ups was lasting for weeks. We had always fed or rocked him to sleep and put him in his crib sleeping.
This month we took the time and sleep trained him. We’ve always had a bedtime routine so the biggest change was putting him in his crib tired but still awake. The first few nights were SO HARD. Hearing him cry and scream was so painful for us. The first night he screamed for a half hour and still woke up at 5am. By the second night he stopped the middle of the night wake ups.
He is now sleeping through the night and goes right to sleep all on his own most nights.
New Foods
Aaron has tried SO many new foods this month.
He’s tried Bamba, oranges, olives, onions, peppers, dates, and strawberries.
He now sits with us during meals and we share some of the things we’re eating. Sometimes he puts the food right to his mouth, other times he’s squeezing pickle juice onto the floor.
Outside
We’ve been making spending more time outside a priority for our family. So far this has included walks by the beach, hiking at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, and lots of trips to the playground to go on the swings. Aaron always get so excited to go outside. I’m not sure what he enjoys more – playing on the swings or waving to all of the people we pass walking by the beach.
