I just finished the whole30 this week and besides the obvious (meat, chicken, fish, fruits and vegetables) the following foods are what really helped get me through the 30 days.
You can read my whole30 diary here.
Chomps
These came highly recommended and they are the best! These are the only whole30 compliant meat sticks / beef jerky I could find. And I spent a good 10 mins one day reading ingredients on all of meat stick options at Whole Foods.
The cheapest place I’ve found them is at Trader Joes, but the most convenient option is ordering them on Amazon.
Dried Mango
One of my favorite on-the-go snacks. Just make sure to read the labels – the only ingredients in these is organic mango (no sugar/sweetener).
I bought these at TJs, Target, Whole Foods, and they can also be ordered on Amazon.
Tessamaes Dressing
The ranch dressing was the perfect match for my crock pot buffalo chicken (one of my easy, go-to meals). I found mine at Earth Fare, but you can also find it at Whole Foods, their own website, or amazon. I also thought about ordering their whole30 ketchup but just never had the chance.
Avocados
I ate a whole avocado every single day – 1/2 with breakfast + 1/2 with lunch. And sometime I had more as guacamole with dinner. My favorite place to buy them is at Costco (best quality, size, price).
Frank’s Red Hot
*just make sure its Original. This one is easy to find at any grocery store or amazon. We bought a big bottle and used it for buffalo chicken and Jon would put it on his eggs.
Almond Butter
almond + fruit is the best treat during Whole30. We purchased the Kirkland brand almond butter at Costco. The only ingredient is almonds! Justin’s almond butter is also approved with only 2 ingredients – almonds and palm oil.
