My best friend came to visit this weekend and we were nonstop, all over sunny (rainy) south Florida (probably why I’m in bed with strep throat at the moment).
Friday
We started by being ladies who lunch at the new RH in West Palm Beach.
This store is four levels of home decor perfection. There’s inspiration everywhere you look from the outdoor patio to their bathrooms. And the forth floor is a rooftop restaurant. This is a perfect spot for a date night or lunch with your girlfriends. We might’ve even seen a celebrity (if only we could figure out who he was).

Later that night we headed down to Delray Beach for dinner and to watch some live music on Atlantic Ave. We had dinner at Rocco’s Tacos – their guac is always a crowd pleaser. And then purposely ran into a group of our sorority sisters that just so happened to be in Delray that night as well.
Saturday
The next morning Diana woke up early to watch the royal wedding and then slept late and I …just slept late. Our dreams of spending the weekend at the beach/pool in matching bathing suits 👯 were unfortunately not going to come true with the non stop rain so our plan b was of course the mall. I found a tank at Madewell that felt like it was made for me and actually paid full price ($22) – probably the first time ever.
That night we put our dancing shoes on and met my mom for the JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE CONCERT!

We had to cancel our dinner reservations because I got on the wrong highway, we got a little rained on, and I accidentally spilled my water on the drunk girl in front of me. But once the show started we had the best time and did not stop dancing til it was over!
Sunday
No girls weekend is complete without Sunday brunch. We headed back down to Fort Lauderdale and met some friends (and their 2 cutie kids) at Boathouse. Great food, fun drinks and perfect views of some fancy yachts. For $25 you have access to unlimited mimosas, bellinis, sangria and bloody mary’s til 4pm and tons of options for mixins or toppings. Such a fun option for celebrations!
I am so thankful for our first house guest and being able to spend a weekend with my out of town best friend. Can’t wait for the next one!
