One – Riding Boots

There is nothing that screams Fall more than a pair of classic riding boots.  They look great styled with a mini skirt for early Fall, or if you live somewhere hot (like Florida).  And when the temperature drops, wear them with your leggings or jeans tucked in. I personally buy my riding boots with a wide calf which helps when you have clothes layered under.

I’m all about a deal but I think a good pair of real leather riding boots are worth a bit of a splurge.  These will never go out of style and a quality pair will last you a long time.  I own the Madewell pair pictured above ($300) and these Sam Edelman Penny boots ($150).

Two – Ankle Booties

These need to be a staple in every single wardrobe.  They go with everything! I honestly think these are a year round shoe (they are SO CUTE with sundresses), but Fall is definitely when they shine. I recently included these in my How to Fall in Florida post. They’re versatile and flattering and I’m not kidding when I say you better own a pair.

Three – Wedge Boots

I am personally SO excited to see these making a comeback! I love when my clothes/shoe hoarding pays off! I bought these McAllister wedge boots from J.Crew and used to wear them ALL THE TIME.  The past few years they’ve been sitting in my closet just waiting to come back in style. And guess what – its time! J.Crew is selling them again and I could not be more excited. I’m all about a shoe that can be cute and comfortable!

Four – Statement Boots

These might not be a need for everyone, but I love styling my outfits around my shoes. Unlike my pricey leather riding boots, I definitely think these statement styles should be more affordable.  The ones pictures above are only about $40 from Old Navy (before any discount, which we know they almost always have).

Five – Over the Knee Boots

I put off buying these for years because I thought they were a trend that would quickly be gone.  Looks like these shoes are here to stay! I love the look of these with a mini skirt, especially for petite ladies like myself.
