I’ve followed Create and Cultivate for a while now. I love their message about creating and cultivating relationships with women and support women growing in their careers. A lot of their members are bloggers and female entrepreneurs. So when their CEO Jaclyn Johnson wrote a book, Work Party, I preordered it on Amazon and almost immediately signed up for her book tour stop in Miami.
My original goal was to finish the book before the signing. But you know, life…
I’ve read about 40 pages so far and I’m already so inspired by her story. She’s worked through failure and uses it as motivation to keep working harder towards success. Basically, you need to read this book.
I love that the author, Jaclyn, uses her book signing events instead of selfishly talking about herself (which she totally should because she deserves all the attention for creating a successful company and writing a book) she interviews and helps promote other female CEOs and entrepreneurs.
At the event I went to in Miami she brought Lo Bosworth. We all know and love her (or at least I do) from Laguna Beach and The Hills. But she is now the founder of the company Love Wellness Co, which sells women’s healthcare products.
She shared how she started, what inspired her (her own personal health journey), and what’s coming next (growing her team and more product launches).
After they spoke, I got to meet both Jaclyn and Lo and have my Work Party book signed! Jaclyn Johnson actually grew up right by where I live. And Lo Bosworth was also a Kappa Kappa Gamma sister. I really enjoyed meeting and connecting with such inspiring women!
